Berkley Beautification Committee Honors Holiday Decor

Early this week, the Berkley Beautification Advisory Committee honored ten festively decorated homes in the city with the annual Holiday Spirit Award. According to a post on the group’s Facebook page, the committee thanks Berkley residents for their “efforts this holiday season to brighten the dark days of winter,” adding “The city looks beautiful with all the wonderfully decorated homes.”

The group announced the contest Nov 26, seeking “houses with the most impressive displays - lights, garland, trees, wreathes, and anything that ties everything together.” Entries were due Dec 12. In addition to the annual contest, the committee looks for projects to help beautify Berkley. The group meets at 6:30 pm on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Berkley Public Safety Building Conference Room.
