For example: free beer, free pizza, free coffee. See what I mean? Better.
Apparently, officials at Einstein Bros. Bagels, 7-Eleven, Caribou Coffee and Krispy Kreme have caught onto this little secret, and just in time: Saturday is National Coffee Day.

- Einstein Bros. Bagels, which has a location on Woodward Avenue in Berkley, has declared this week "National Coffee Week" and is offering a different drink special every day as well as a buy-one-get-one deal on pumpkin lattes this Saturday. - At Caribou Coffee, individuals who sign up online will receive a coupon for a free small coffee Saturday, which can be used to upgrade to a larger specialty drink at a discounted price. Signing up also gets you a free drink on your birthday!
- Friday is CofFREE Day at 7-Eleven, which means a free large coffee for anyone who stops by a participating 7-Eleven stores between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sept. 28.
- Krispy Kreme is offering one free 12-ounce House Blend Coffee per customer at participating stores on Saturday Sept. 29, with no purchase necessary.
Free makes everything better. Especially coffee.
