Fuel Up For Before You Make That Long Holiday Drive

GasBuddy released projections this week finding that the price of gas on Christmas Day gas will reach a 4-year high. While most states have noted dips in prices in the last couple of months, recent cold snaps and snow storms in the midwest, prices are heading up. GasBuddy projects the national average gas price this Christmas will be $2.39 per gallon. While this is twelve cents less than the Thanksgiving average, it’s still the most expensive gas has been since 2013 when it soared to $3.26 a gallon.

GasBuddy recommends avoiding gas near state lines, where changes in sales tax can hurt you. So if you’re headed south - but not to Windsor, which is a whole other story - you’ll definitely want to fuel up before hitting the road.
