Veterans Day: Take Time to Honor Those Who Serve
Several offices will closed – including Berkley and Huntington Woods City Halls, 45A District Court and the post office – so consider taking the time you would have used to run an errand to thank someone who's served our country.
On Veterans Day, we take time to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
How will you commemorate the federal holiday? If you have time, consider stopping by to thank a veteran at , or the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 19, in Berkley.
If you are a veteran, you may want to take advantage of the many discounts and freebies being offered by restaurants, retail outlets and parks (see attached PDF) or . Although, with a forecast high of 44 degrees according to the National Weather Service, it may be only the die-hard golfers who hit the links!
