What's Open, Closed on Thanksgiving

From grocery stores to government offices, here's your guide to holiday hours.

Thanksgiving is a time to spend celebrating with family and friends and, as such, many banks, offices, restaurants and stores will be closed Thursday in observance of the holiday.

Here's a quick look at what will be open and closed in Berkley and Huntington Woods. Please leave a comment if you have something to add!

  • The grocer will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving, with sliced turkey breast and side dishes available at the prepared foods bar, as well as whole turkey that can be freshly carved, manager Rob Henry said. Call 248-547-1000 for more information.

  • The Berkley location will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thanksgiving. "We stay as stocked as we can and, if we run out, we run out," manager Ezra Graziano said of the store's and . "But, we plan to be well-stocked for the holiday." He added that Hiller's also will have a variety of side dishes. "We have a deli counter full of mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes and other fixings." Call 248-546-6500 for more information.

  • The Berkley eatery will offer a Thanksgiving buffet that costs $24.95 for adults or $12.95 for those younger than 12 and is free for diners 4 and younger. Dinner includes cold and hot dishes, as well as dessert. As of Wednesday evening, the restaurant still had seatings open between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Call 248-399-6750 for more information, to check on availability or make a reservation.
