A week of festivities is underway in Huntington Woods as the city celebrates the Fourth of July.

Chalk Art Contest
- What: Kids, teens and adults will create chalk art based on the theme "Best of Huntington Woods."
- When: 3:30-7 p.m.; judging and awards to follow immediately.
- Where: Scotia Park.
- What else: Registration closed June 30.
Baby Parade
- What: Two babies between the ages of 9- and 24-months-old will be chosen to ride in the Fourth of July parade during the event, which also will include toys and door prizes.
- When: 5:45-6:45 p.m.
- Where: Scotia Park.
- What else: Registration closed June 28.
DIA Inside|Out Ribbon-Cutting
- What: Welcome reproductions of five artworks from the Detroit Institute of Arts will be displayed this summer throughout Huntington Woods as part of the fourth annual Inside|Out program.
- When: 6:45-6:55 p.m.

Family Night in Scotia Park
- What: Join Guy Louis and the Chautauqua Express Family for a free, interactive show focused on community and celebration, snack on concessions sold by the Huntington Woods Teen Council or take a $5 carriage ride.
