
Beaumont Health System has announced the appointment of Thomas Anderson, Ph.D., of Birmingham, to its board of directors. He will chair Beaumont’s Education, Innovation and Research Committee.
Anderson is a senior director at Automation Alley, a technology business association, where he is involved in strategic management and budget development and integration. He is also responsible for promotion and operation of all entrepreneurial services and activities.
He is a board member at Tech Town Detroit, MIST Innovations, Great Lakes Entrepreneurs Quest, Great Lakes Angels, SpaceForm Inc., Monarch Antenna and Beaumont Research Institute. He also serves as an advisory member at Oakland University School of Engineering and Computer Science and Walsh College.

Anderson has served as a Beaumont trustee since 2006.
Beaumont’s board of directors has governing authority and responsibility for the operation of the organization. Directors are elected to three-year terms and serve without compensation.
