During the meeting, commissioners and planning board members will discuss:
- Regulated uses: At its May 7 meeting, the city commission considered a request for permanent makeup services to be offered at a salon, after it was determined that permanent makeup was deemed a tatoo parlor under the existing language (in the city code). After much discussion, the city commission directed the planning division to review the regulated use provisions in the zoning ordinance and make recommendations for updates.
- Assignment of bistro contracts: In June, Papa Joe's requested the city's written approval to assign the rights of its bistro license to a new co-licensee. After approving the request in August, commissioners decided to review the subject of transfers and assignments of bistro licenses during its joint workshop.
