Sandy Baruah to Speak on 'How Our Region is Moving Forward' at Community House

Sandy Baruah, president and CEO of the Detroit Regional Chamber, will be speaking at The Community House on "How Our Region is Moving Forward" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

Hear how the Detroit Regional Chamber is moving our region forward by focusing on three strategic priorities: economic development, regional collaboration and education reform. Also learn how the outcome in the 2012 election could possibly impact our region as well.

Baruah joined the Detroit Regional Chamber in 2010 after a distinguished career in Washington, D.C. He served as President George W. Bush’s last Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

With more than 20,000 members and affiliates that employ over three-quarters of a million workers, the Detroit Regional Chamber is one of the largest chambers of commerce in the country. The Chamber’s mission is carried out through business attraction efforts, advocacy, strategic partnerships and providing valuable benefits to members.
