Superintendent to Update School Board on District's Strategic Plan

The Birmingham Board of Education will meet a 7 p.m. Tuesday at the district's administration building on West Merrill.

Reports:

• Superintendent Daniel Nerad will report on the district's process in creating and updating its strategic plan, which is scheduled to occur in spring 2013.
• Assistant Superintendent for Business Services will present the district's October 2012 financial statements.

Resolutions:

• Routine personnel actions, including approving new hires, resignations, leaves of absenses and retirements.
• School board members will also consider the district's summer property tax levy — certifying the district's intent to approve a summer property tax levy of up to 100 percent of the school property taxes for summer 2013.
