The Birmingham-Covington School's (BCS) Thinking Green Teams is hosting an electronic recycling and hard drive shredding event in the BCS parking lot. Michigan Mobile Hard Drive Shredding will disassmble loose hard drives or hard drives that are still installed in laptops or desktops. This will be done in the presence of its owner in order to provide the most secure and safest method of information elimination. The cost for shredding is $6 for each hard drive.
Acceptable items collected for free include cell phones, inkjet cartridges, laptops, digital cameras, laser cartridges, GPS devices, PDAs, iPods, DVDs (in the original box), video games and video consoles.
