National Day of Service and Remembrance at Baldwin Public Library

Join the Baldwin Public Library's Youth Services as they observe the National Day of Service and Remembrance on Saturday, Sept. 10. Baldwin librarians will share patriotic stories and songs about the importance of working together. Children will make a remember flag for display in the Library's Youth Room and will be able to take home a special craft.

"We feel it is important for the Library to acknowledge the National Day of Service and Remembrance this year and also provide a positive and upbeat experience for the kids.  Reinforcing the idea of doing something for others and sharing seemed a good fit, especially as community service is increasingly stressed at the schools," said Connie Ilmer, Head of Public Services
