
Ten Brighton Area Firefighters will join 22 other fire departments competing in the Second Annual American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb Firefighter Challenge on March 4 at the Renaissance Center in Detroit.
Firefighters will race each other up 70 flights of stairs in full gear to raise money and awareness for the American Lung Association.
This is the first year the Brighton Area Fire Department will compete as a team and they have already raised the second highest amount of money among fire departments.

As of Thursday afternoon, they have raised $2,850 to their goal of $3,000. They are second behind Shelby Township Firefighters who have raised $3,480.
The Brighton Area Fire Department asks for your donations in order to reach their goal and become the number one fundraiser.
