This season’s environmentally-friendly Cinderella’s Closet Homecoming Boutique is slated to open on two consecutive weekends in September.
Sponsored jointly by LACASA and Snedicor’s Cleaners, Cinderella’s Closet is designed to provide high school girls with homecoming dresses at deep-discount prices. Girls can shop, support a worthy cause, and help recycle party attire all at the same time.
Boutique hours are set for Sept. 6 and Sept. 7 from 3 to 8 p.m. and Sept. 8 from noon to 5 p.m. Dates for the second weekend are Sept. 13 and Sept. 14 from 3 to 8 p.m. and Sept. 15 from noon to 5 p.m.
Cinderella’s Closet is held the Snedicor’s location in Brighton. All dresses are just $25.
Girls are invited to sign the “Homecoming Promise,” a vow to stay alcohol and drug free on special celebration nights. Those who sign the promise will be entered into a special raffle drawing.
The Promise Program helps increase awareness among high school girls about the dangers of using substance —especially at special events when clouded judgment can lead to unsafe situations including dating violence and sexual assault.
All proceeds from this “go green” event will go to benefit vulnerable children and adults from Livingston County. LACASA offers help and hope for victims of child abuse,
domestic violence and sexual assault.
A “Donation Drive” is now underway for party dresses, shoes and accessories in current styles. Sponsorships and raffle donations also are being sought.
Snedicor’s provides free “green” cleaning for all donations made at either of the store’s Howell or Brighton locations.
