Leslie Science & Nature Center Valentines to Benefit Raptor Programs

Happy Valentine's Day!

What a great way to have a unique, colorful and fun valentine for your child’s school and support Ann Arbor's Leslie Science & Nature Center at the same time. We are excited to offer these great Valentines for $5.

Once purchased you may print as many as you like. All proceeds of the sale of our Valentines benefit our raptor programs and raptors including our Barn Owl.

The Barn Owl with his heart shaped face is the perfect match for any valentine celebration. Just looking at him is enough to melt your heart, but learning about his life will turn it into a big puddle of goo!

In the spring of 2010 our barn owl was illegally removed from his nest, unfortunately by folks that didn’t know how to care for barn owls. Among other things, they cut all of his flight feathers on one wing, essentially grounding him.  During his time here at LSNC his feathers grew back beautifully and he is now gaining the comfort and trust in humans.
