Local Women's Charity Gives More Than $10,000 to Injured Soldiers

On Nov. 19, 100 Women Who Care Livingston County presented a check for $10,250 to Injured Soldiers at The American Spirit Center in Brighton.

Injured Soldiers provides activities and needed resources for physical and mental rehabilitation for our wounded returning Heros. This organization is run entirely by volunteers. Their web site is http://www.injuredsoldiers.org

Year to date 100 Women Who Care Livingston County have donated $27,150 to area charities.

100 Women Who Care Livingston County is a new resource in which charities that meet certain criteria can be eligible to be awarded funds. 100 Women's goal is to have 100 women meet for one hour four times a year and raise a minimum of $10,000 for one local non-profit organization in Livingston County. 100 Women are looking for new members.
