Although electrical power was restored Monday, July 9 to Kensington Metropark’s Martindale Beach, the Splash ‘n’ Blast remains closed due to mechanical problems.
Facilities at Martindale Beach, including the Splash ‘n’ Blast, beach house, bathrooms and grille remain closed while repairs are made. Restrooms located at North Martindale and near East Boat Launch are open. Martindale beach is open for swimming.

Downed power lines near the park’s East Boat Launch left the east side of Kensington Metropark without power and forced the initial closure of Splash ‘n’ Blast, the beach house, and the grill on Thursday, July 5 through Sunday, July 8.
