Brighton Man Suspected of Armed Robbery Rejects Plea Deal

David Kenneth Rentsch, the Brighton man charged in connection to an armed robbery of the BP Gas Station in March has rejected a plea deal, according to WHMI.
Rentsch is also accused of robbing two 7-Eleven stores in March.
A trial date of May 13 has been set if a plea agreement cannot be reached during a settlement conference that is scheduled for May 10, according to the report. An exam conference was scheduled on Wednesday in the 7-Eleven robbery case, according to WHMI.

Details about the suspect's capture were not released, but according to a previous report from the Press & Argus, Rentsch was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers and Brighton police.
According to the Press & Argus, Rentsch has a criminal history that includes armed robbery, home invasion and drug-related offenses, could also face a parole violation.
