1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 35 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

  • Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.86
  • BP, 3452 South Old US-23: $3.87
  • CITGO, 1050 E Grand River: $3.88

3. Brighton Garden Club Meeting

Brighton Garden Club will meet today at 11 a.m. at 555 Brighton St. The group will begin this meeting welcoming members and guests before our luncheon at 11 a.m. The guest speaker this month is from Meier Flowerland and will be speaking on fall perennials and getting gardens put to sleep for the winter.  Our business meeting begins at 1 p.m. Hope to see you there.

4. Divorce & Family Law Seminar

A free seminar with a panel of professionals and question and anwer with attendees is being offered by the Livingston Interdisciplinary Professional Association (LIPA) today at 5:30 p.m. at 1788 N Old Us 23, Howell, MI. 

Panel includes a Family Court Judge, mediator, attorney, counselor, Friend of the Court staff, real estate specialists, C.P.A.,and financial planners. Attendees will leave with information on options and available community resources to guide their decision-making.
