Clawson Police to Auction Off Abandoned Vehicles
Old and newer cars will be sold at a public auction in Troy on Sept. 27.
The  will auction off several unclaimed vehicles at noon on Sept. 27 at A&M Towing in Troy. The auction is hed in conjunction with the City of Troy.
Most of the cars were abandoned throughout the city or towed after arrests. The vehicles are usually stored at A&M Towing in Troy and proceeds from the auction pay the storage fees for the vehicles, police say.
"Owners may redeem their vehicles up until 11 a.m. on the day of the auction by paying all charges against the vehicle at A&M Towing," a release from the Clawson Police Department said. "All vehicles are sold 'as is' and must be removed within 24 hours."

Clawson Police will auction the following cars:
- 2003 Dodge Caravan
- 1999 Chrysler Concorde
- 1991 Honda Accord
- 2000 Subaru Legacy
- 1998 Ford Escort
- 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette
- 1996 Ford Explorer
- 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
The event is open to the public. A&M Towing is located at 2075 Austin Dr. in Troy.
