Subzero Wind Chills, More Snow Expected Today

Another 2-4 inches of snow possible Friday afternoon and evening as cold front settles over southeast Michigan, says National Weather Service.

After Clawson received a dusting of snow Thursday morning, the area will again see measurable snowfall Friday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.

Snow is likely after 3 p.m. Friday, according to the weather service. Around an inch of snow could fall in the afternoon with an additional 1-3 inches falling Friday night.

In addition, icy cold temperatures will continue to grip southeastern Michigan through Friday; the weather service is predicting a high near 19 and a low around 13 degrees. Wind chill values as low as -1 degree are possible throughout much of the day.

Saturday will be slightly warmer with a high near 25 and a low around 23; additional snowfall is not expected Saturday.
