18th Annual Clinton River Cleanup Coming Up
In the past five years, 44,483 lbs. of trash have been collected and removed from the Clinton River watershed by volunteers.β
METRO DETROIT, MI βMichiganders like to take care of their waterways and the Clinton River is no different. Local governments, businesses, community organizations and residents are coming together on Saturday, Sept. 21, for the 18th Annual Clinton Cleanup.
In the past five years, 44,483 lbs. of trash have been collected and removed from the Clinton River watershed by volunteers. More than 4,000 lbs. of trash were collected last September alone at annual Clinton Cleanup events.
There are several events taking place in Oakland and Macomb County and members of the community are invited to attend.

CLEANUP AT MACARTHUR PARK:

- 1 to 3 p.m.
CLEANUP AT SHADYSIDE PARK:
- Shadyside Park (155 Shadyside Drive, Mt. Clemens)
- 1 to 3 p.m.
CLINTON RIVER TRAIL CLEANUP:
- Eagles Landing, Rochester Hills. Livernois Rd. South of Avon
- 1 to 3 p.m.
CITY OF AUBURN HILLS CLEANUP:
- River Woods Park, Auburn Hills (300 River Woods Drive)
- 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
PADDLE CLEANUP IN CLINTON TWP:
- Budd Park, Clinton Township (19000 Clinton Township Road)
- 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
CITY OF ROCHESTER CLEANUP:
- Riverwalk & Clinton River Trail
- 9 to 11 a.m.
KAYAK CLEANUP IN WATERFORD:
- Elizabeth Lake Road, Meet at Waterford Clinton River Launch Site

SIERRA CLUB ROCHESTER ECOS CLEANUP:
- NW corner of Giddings and Perry Road. (W of 1-75, S of Walton)

DEPOT PARK CLEANUP IN CLARKSTON:
- Depot Park (375 Depot Road, Clarkston)
- 9 to 11 a.m.
