Best Friends Pet Care Offers Free Frozen Treats to Furry Friends Saturday
Doggy ice cream will be available between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for all canine customers who stop by the Clinton Township location.

No celebration is complete without ice cream and since National Dog Day is this weekend, Best Friends Pet Care is offering a special treat for our canine companions.
Located at 33711 Harper Ave. in Clinton Township, Best Friends Pet Care will give away a free doggy ice cream to every dog who visits the business between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
"National Dog Day is a day to honor the dogs in our lives," said Best Friends manager Cathy Lee, in a prepared statement. "So we’re inviting all dogs – whether Best Friends clients or not – to stop in between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for a free doggy ice cream."

The treats are dog-safe, made of yogurt or soy with dog-preferred flavors such as peanut butter and honey. The only stipulation for the giveaway is dogs must be on leash and accompanied by a human companion. Â Â
Founded in 2004, National Dog Day is observed annually on Aug. 26.
