Cass Avenue Expected to Reopen in Time for Rush Hour Monday

After almost four months of construction, Cass Avenue is expected to reopen in both directions between Groesbeck and Gratiot.

Say goodbye to the barricades, orange barrels and bothersome detours, drivers. Cass Avenue is slated to reopen in both directions between Groesbeck and Gratiot by rush hour Monday.

A key route for drivers traveling to, through or from Mount Clemens, portions of the road have been closed since July, when total reconstruction began.

While one lane has remained open for eastbound traffic throughout the project, the orange barrels and barricades have made the intersection of Groesbeck and Cass Avenue somewhat of an obstacle course.
