Christmas Gifts, Guns Stolen from Cars in Clinton Township; Vehicles Vandalized on Indianwood

Handgun reported stolen from vehicle parked off Groesbeck

Cash and a Bersa Thunder semi-automatic .38-caliber handgun were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 44100 block of Groesbeck sometime between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1.

The vehicle's owner believes the car was locked, but there were no signs of forced entry, according to police.

Dodge Caravan stolen from Star Theater lot, handgun inside

A 2003 blue Dodge Caravan was reported stolen from the parking lot of the Star Theater on Gratiot sometime between 8:45  and 11:21 p.m. Nov. 6, according to police.

The owner told police his loaded Ruger 9mm handgun was under the passenger seat. The vehicle's license plate number is AVONR3P.

Christmas gifts reported stolen from car on Wellington Crescent

A number of Christmas presents were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 23000 block of Wellington Crescent sometime between 5 p.m. Nov. 2 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 3.

The victim told police she heard her car alarm go off early Nov. 3, but saw no one near the vehicle. The presents were later found missing. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle, according to police.

Smiley face, lines and letters spray painted on residents' vehicles

Four residents in the 23000 block of Indianwood reported to police that their vehicles had been vandalized during the overnight hours of Nov. 2 and 3.

  • One resident reported the words "we're professional" spray painted in black on the side of her work van
  • Two residents reported a long line spray painted in black down the side of their vehicle, with the letter "C" painted on the hood
  • One resident reported a smiley face spray painted in black on the side of the vehicle

Cars reported stolen from Partridge Creek, Auto Pro, Saravilla, 15 Mile and Gratiot

A black 2002 Chrysler Sebring was reported stolen from The Mall at Partridge Creek soemtime bewteen 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 3.

Surveillance video shows a Malibu or Impala pulling next to the Sebring and two suspects dressed in black getting out to look under the hood of the Sebring. A short time later, both cars were gone, according to the police report.

A silver 2004 Dodge Intrepid was reported stolen from Auto Pro at 1451 S. Gratiot sometime between noon Nov. 1 and 11 a.m. Nov. 2, according to police.

The license plate number is BLB 5405.

A black 1995 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen from the 23000 block of Saravilla sometime between 12:30 and 10:30 a.m. Nov. 4, according to police.

The license plate number is CLV 3806.

A gold 2002 Chrysler Concorde was reported stolen from the shopping center at 15 Mile and Gratiot at 12:56 p.m. Nov. 6.

The owner told police she was walking to the parking lot when she saw her vehicle being driven away by an unidentified male. The license plate number is BVB6438.
