Clinton-Macomb Library Invites Young Adults to Check Out Swing Dance
A swing dancing class for 18- to 29-year-olds will be offered the first Tuesday of every month at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library main branch.

A new program for young adults promises to break the silence of the Clinton-Macomb Public Library this month with the wailing horns and irresistible rhythms of swing dance.
One of the libraryβs newest programs for those in the 18- to 29-age range, Swing Dancing will be offered on the first Tuesday of every month, starting Jan. 8, at the main library.
βWe have a great, dedicated group of teens who attend programs, but we felt like we were missing some programming opportunities with young adults ages 18-29,β said Jamie Morris, community relations specialist for the Clinton-Macomb Public Library.

Although the library has played host to swing classes in the past, Morris said the January class, taught by local volunteers, would be the first geared specifically toward young adults.
The class is free and open to all experience levels, from those whoβve never tried a swing step to experts who could give Fred Astaire a run for his money.
