Clinton Township Looking For Plumbing Inspector

Applications for the township job are due Sept. 11. Starting pay for the position is more than $60,000.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β€” Looking for a job? Clinton Township is looking for a plumbing inspector/plan reviewer. Starting pay for the township job is between $61,561-$66,745 and applications are due by Sept. 11.

The main duty of the position is to perform plumbing inspections as well as commercial plan review for various locations throughout the township, according to Clinton Township’s job description. The inspector is vital in determining conformity to Michigan and local building codes and ordinances that are designed to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public.

In addition, the township will require the inspector to investigate complaints involving violations of minimum acceptable zoning, housing, environmental, construction, health, safety and welfare standards. The position will also advises contractors, developers and others on Clinton Township’s plumbing code requirements.

The township is looking for some specific skill sets and experience. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience as a licensed journeyman plumber, a current license as a master plumber, or a current registration as a Plumbing Inspector/ Plan reviewer.
