Clinton Township to Discuss Permit Waiver for Habitat for Humanity, Hosting Walk for Warmth

Hosting the 23rd annual Walk for Warmth and waiving permit fees for Macomb County Habitat for Humanity are among the issues Clinton Township board members will consider at tonight's meeting.
The Clinton Township board of trustees meets at 6:30 p.m. today in the board chambers at the Civic Center, located off Romeo Plank Road.Â
Board meetings are also telecast live on CTTV, Clinton Township's Government Access cable TV channel, and telecast again on Saturdays at 2 pm. and Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

- Request from the Macomb County Community Services Agency to host its 23rd annual Walk for Warmth on March 2, 2013 in Clinton Township. The walk raises funds to help Macomb County residents with heating problems such as shut off notices or furnace repair/replacement. The 1.5-mile walk will start and end at the township senior center.
- Request from Macomb County Habitat for Humanity for a blanket permit waiver through 2013 to allow Habitat to complete projects such as wheelchair ramps, small roof repair, porches and other emergency needs for low-income residents in the township.
- Request to schedule the seventh Clinton Township Festival of the Senses for Sept. 21-22, 2013.
