Cold-footed Christmas thief nabs microwave socks, liquor, cash

Microwave socks were among several Christmas presents reported stolen Dec. 25 from an unlocked car in the 16000 block of Heatherwood, according to Clinton Township police. 

The car's owner said he left the car around 9:30 p.m. Christmas Day and when he returned a few minutes later, found his Christmas presents, which included $100 cash, coffee cups, a CD player, liquor and microwave socks, had been stolen.

There are no suspects at this time, according to police.

Electronics stolen in Christmas Eve break-in

A resident in the 21000 block of Danbury reported a break-in Dec. 24 that resulted in the theft of an HP laptop, Wii, several games and controllers, according to police.

The break-in is believed to have occurred sometime between 4 p.m. and midnight Dec. 24, police say. 

Fingerprints and footprints were found at the home. Officers were able to trace the footprints as far as the Star Theater parking lot, according to the report.

There are no suspects at this time.

Grand Caravan stolen Christmas Day

A silver 2000 Grand Caravan was reported stolen Dec. 25 from the 44000 block of Bayview, according to police.

The theft is believed to have occurred sometime btween 11 pp.m. and midnight, police report. The vehicle's license plate number is CLV 5049.
