
Local officials, including Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, will visit Baker College in Clinton Township this afternoon to discuss the importance of voting.
Hackel; state Rep. Marilyn Lane, D-Fraser; Roseville Councilman Mickey Switalski; and Clinton Township Baker College president Don Torline will share their personal experiences in voting in an effort to remind residents of the importane of voting.
A political science class is staging the event to encourage local residenst to vote in the general election on Nov. 6.

The event starts at 4:30 p.m. and will be held in the student center at Baker College, 34950 Little Mack Ave., near 15 Mile Road.
The discussion is open to the public.
