Handguns, Shotguns Reported Stolen in Clinton Township Break-ins

Handgun among items reported stolen from Strathcona home
A Smith and Wesson handgun was among the items reported stolen from a home in the 35000 block of Strathcona sometime between 5 and 9:50 p.m. Nov. 30.
The homeowner told police the window on the home’s rear door had been broken out and the door opened. A hammer was found near the door and it appeared the home’s office and bedroom had been gone through, according to police.

Other items reported missing from the home include a 51-inch Samsung flat screen TV, Dell laptop and miscellaneous jewelry. The owner told police the gun had been a gift and was not registered, according to the police report.Â

A print was obtained from the home, but there have been no arrests made at this time.
Four guns stolen from home on Broadacres
Two shotguns and two muskets were reported stolen Nov. 27 from a home in the 20000 block of Broadacres.
The homeowner had been on vacation the previous month and later discovered four of his guns missing from a spare bedroom, according to the police report.
A handprint was found on the home’s rear window, which was unlocked and likely used to gain entry to the home, according to police.
There are no suspects at this time.
Semi-automatic shotgun reported missing from home on Ulrich
On Dec. 1, a homeowner in the 20000 block of Ulrich reported a Ruger semi-automatic 7 shotgun missing.
Police have identified a suspect in this case, but no arrest has been made at this time.
