Hit-And-Run Crash Kills Clinton Township Woman
A Clinton Township woman whom police said was in her 40s was killed after being hit while riding her bike on Gratiot Avenue late Sunday.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Clinton Township woman was killed late Sunday night after being hit on her bicycle while riding northbound on Gratiot Avenue at 16 Mile Road, Clinton Township Police said in a news release. The woman, who police said was in her 40’s, was transported to McLaren Hospital in Mt. Clemens where she died of her injuries.
Police said the driver of the vehicle fled the scene at the time of the accident at approximately 10 p.m. A woman came into the Clinton Township Police department at about 7:30 a.m. Monday and identified herself as the driver.
Police interviewed her, impounded her car and then released her pending an investigation of the crash. Clinton Township Police said results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office for review and possible charges.
