L'Anse Creuse Public Schools Board of Education President Resigns
Jeffrey Pegg reportedly stepped down from the Board to avoid any potential conflict as he pursues the seat vacated by Pamela Hornberger.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β LβAnse Creuse Public Schools Board of Education President Jeffrey M. Pegg resigned on Dec. 20, according to a press release.
Pegg was appointed to the Board in May 2016 and during that time had served as president and trustee. Pegg reportedly stepped down to avoid any perceived conflict with his intention to apply for the seat vacated with the Dec. 7 resignation of Pamela Hornberger. Hornberger left the Board as she was recently elected to the Michigan House of Representatives.
βBeing a part of this Board of Education has been a great experience,β Pegg said in a statement. βIt was an honor to work with a group of individuals that truly care about our kids and public education.β

Superintendent Dr. Jackie Johnston praised Pegg in a statement, βMr. Pegg is a very involved parent in the district, making him a great asset on the Board. It was a pleasure working with him.β
The application deadline for the Board of Education was today at noon. There will be open interviews on Jan. 4, 2017 and if needed, Jan. 5, 2017. A new Board member will be appointed by Jan. 6, 2017.
