LTU Promotes Clinton Township Man
Hoxha will lead Detroit Center for Technology + Design's CoWork for Lawrence Technological University.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Clinton Township resident Amar L. Hoxha will lead Detroit Center for Technology + Design’s CoWork, part of the Design Incubator for Lawrence Technological University. Hoxha started his new new job May 1 and is now serving as DCDT administrative services manager and DCDT CoWork director.
The role requires Hoxha to be a liaison to LTU students, faculty and staff. He will manage DCDT’s rental and facility needs, including equipment, onsite parking and security, and is a resource for program information. “I am part of a great team and I enjoy working with them,” Hoxha said. “The new position gives me an opportunity to meet new people and build connections in the city. I am very excited to be able to continue this journey and remain part of the DCDT team.”
Hoxha initially joined the team at LTU in 2015 as a graduate assistant to the dean in the College of Architecture and Design. For the past 6 years, he has served as a member of the Air Force Reserves, out of Ohio. His responsibilities there include member’s mission readiness, multiple program lead positions and a supervisory role of Airman.

“This is an excellent opportunity that will allow me to display the knowledge and skills that I have gained thus far, working for the DCDT as the center’s manager,” said Hoxha. “I am confident that my new role, not only will carry the potential for personal growth but also the center’s growth in the city itself.”
Hoxha’s work with the USAFR has been recognized through his endowment of the Airmen of the Quarter Award, Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He has extensive experience as a dispatcher, safety specialist and with business relations in the transportation industry.

Not only does he work for LTU, Hoxha also studies at the university. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 2014 and will complete his master’s degree in the field, as well as a graduate certificate in Urban Design, this May.
The Detroit Center for Design + Technology is the home of Lawrence Technological University College of Architecture and Design’s Detroit programs. Situated in Midtown along Woodward Avenue, DCDT programs provide additional opportunities to engage organizations, professionals, students and groups within the city.
