Man Exposes Himself to Teen Girl Near 14 Mile; Liquor Thief Stashes Bottle in Pants

Unknown man exposes himself to teen girl

On Aug. 16, at approximately 3:37 p.m., a 15-year-old girl reported to police that an unidentified male exposed himself to her in the area of 14 Mile and Kelly.

The teen told Clinton Township police the man got out of his car and, as she walked by, pulled his pants down.

Fraser police were nearby and the teen ran to officers for help. Officers were unable to locate the man or his vehicle.

The suspect is described as being a white male, 30-40 years old, heavy set, very short, with thin hair and glasses. He was driving a red vehicle, according to the police report.

Wine thief flees scene on mountain bike

On Aug. 16 at approximately 11:56 a.m., employees of the Aldi at 33650 Gratiot reported a black male had stolen six bottles of wine from the store, according to the police report.

The cost of the lost items is estimated at $18. The man was seen driving away on a mountain bike.

There have been no arrests at this time.

Man stashes stolen liquor in pants

On Aug. 14, at approximately 4:36 p.m., Clinton Township police arrested a 49-year-old man for retail fraud at the Meijer located at 40401 S. Groesbeck.

Store employees saw the man take a bottle of liquor and stash it in his pants, leaving the store without attempting to pay for the item, according to the police report.

The man was stopped as he drove away with another individual. A preliminary search revealed a crack pipe in the man’s possession, but not the liquor bottle. This item was later found in the backseat of the patrol car, according to the police report.

Teen driver leads police on high-speed chase, hits parked truck

On Aug. 15, at approximately 3:16 a.m., Clinton Township police arrested an 18-year-old driver in the area of Hayes and Congress after the teen fled from police and hit a parked vehicle several streets away from where the chase began.

When police attempted to stop the teen, he sped up and began swerving through traffic to elude officers, according to the police report. The driver finally stopped after hitting a parked truck and swerving onto a nearby lawn.

The teen did not have a valid driver’s license, according to police.
