Man Sentenced In Pokemon Go Fight Which Left Victim Lying On The Sidewalk
The incident happened on a Clinton Township sidewalk when 34-year-old Ryan Steiner got into an argument with another man over Pokemon Go.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β A man was sentenced for reportedly knocking a man to the ground after an argument over the wildly popular Pokemon Go video game, according to media reports.
34-year-old Ryan Steiner, of St. Clair Shores, was sentenced in 41B District Court in Clinton Township on Dec. 12 to two years probation and possible restitution to the victim, a 53-year-old Harrison Township man, Macomb Daily reports.
The incident happened around 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 3 in Mt. Clemens. The Macomb County Sheriffβs Office reports that Steiner was walking with his girlfriend and another woman on Market St. when they came into contact with the Highland Township man.

Police say that the men began arguing about Steiner playing Pokemon Go on his phone and the situation escalated when Steiner allegedly hit the man in the face with such force he fell to the ground. Steiner then reportedly left the man lying on the sidewalk while he went to a bar with his girlfriend and female friend.
Witnesses called police, and deputies discovered the victim still on the sidewalk and bleeding from a cut on the back of his head. The man was treated at the scene and transported to McLaren-Macomb Hospital.

Deputies identified Steiner with the help of witnesses. He was later arrested in Warren.
Steiner's next court date is Jan. 18 for a restitution hearing.
