Man Steals Car With 4-Year-Old Inside

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman’s minivan was stolen out of Clinton Township Monday morning while her young daughter was still inside the car. The woman reportedly left her daughter in the car while dropping another child off at a family member’s house when a man rode up on a bike and took the van from the driveway.

When the thief realized there was a young girl in the car, he later dropped her off at a Roseville Hooters, according to reports.

The girl, age 4, is reportedly doing alright, WDIV reported. The woman told WDIV she would "never" leave her child in a car again and now thinks twice about the neighborhood.

"You may think your neighborhood's safe like I thought this neighborhood was safe, but really, there is no safe neighborhood," Brandy McPherson told the station.

The stolen vehicle is a red 2010 Chrysler Town and Country with a crack in the rear bumper near the license plate. The Michigan license plate is DNU-1455.
