Clinton Township police are investigating two reports of domestic stabbings this week for possible criminal charges.

Both stabbings reportedly took place on Nov. 17, according to police. In both instances, police say the female partner stabbed the male.

The first stabbing took place at around 5:30 p.m. in an apartment complex off Lotus Drive. Initially, the victim told police he was walking across the parking lot when someone stabbed him in the stomach. He told police the suspect ran off after the attack.

The victim refused to answer any additional questions regarding the incident, but police later learned from a witness that the victim and his girlfriend had been arguing when the girlfriend was seen to pull out a knife.

While the witness did not see the girlfriend stab the victim, the girlfriend later admitted to stabbing her boyfriend in defense, according to police. The girlfriend told police she cleaned the knife after the attack and hid it in a drawer in the apartment, according to the report.
