Quench Your Thirst for Michigan Craft Beer - and Support Boys & Girls Clubs

If you have a thirst for Michigan craft beer, Royal Oak is the place to be Saturday for the Michigan Craft Beer Stroll.

The Royal Oak Restaurant Association is the presenting sponsor of the downtown event, which runs from noon-5 p.m., and will feature samples from some of the state’s top microbreweries and signature dishes from 21 participating restaurants, The Daily Tribune reports.

More than 20 microbreweries are participating.

“We love this event because it gives our restaurants a chance to showcase their individual locations, while featuring some great beer and food,” Royal Oak Restaurant Association president Carrie O’Neill said. “Plus, year after year, we see groups of friends and family exploring the downtown together, which is so fun!”

Participating venues include Ale Mary’s, Bastone Brewery, BlackFinn Ameripub, D’Amato’s Restaurant, Emagine Star Lanes Event Center & Sports Grille, Fifth Avenue, Gusoline Alley, Hamlin Corner, Lily’s Brewery & Seafood Grill, Lockhart’s BBQ, Mr. B’s Pub, Oak City Grille, Onyx/Woody’s, O’Tooles, Oxford Inn, Pronto!, Rock on Third, The Royal Oak Brewery, Tom’s Oyster Bar, Town Tavern, and Ye Olde Saloon.

Guests can check in from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fifth Street between Center and Washington streets and must present a valid ID.

Proceeds from the event benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland and Macomb Counties.
