Target to Add Supermarket at Gratiot Store in Clinton Township

Clinton Township is adding to its growing list of grocers.

Target at 33860 S. Gratiot will add a supermarket as part of an overhaul of 9 Metro Detroit locations that will see expanded grocery sections, the Detroit Free Press reported.

With the overhaul, Target joins Kroger, Farmer's Market, Vince & Joe's, Randazzo Fresh Market, Nino Salvaggio, Meijer and several ethnic markets to Clinton Township's grocery options.

According to the Free Press, Target stores in Rochester, Canton, Livonia, Commerce Township, Auburn Hills, Southfield, Allen Park and Troy also will add an expansive grocery component, while a Target store in Warren already sports the supermarket.

A timeline for the supermarket opening is not yet available.
