Three People Slapped With Felony Animal Cruelty Charges In Horrific Treatment of Clinton Township Dog
The Shih Tzu was found roaming the streets of Clinton Township. She was blind, missing a foot, and matted hair covered her eyes.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β Three people are facing felony animal cruelty charges in the horrific abuse of a blind Shih Tzu in Clinton Township.
According to a news release, the owners of the Shih Tzu, Christopher Penn, 36; Sonja Sturdivant, 49, and Demico Knight Jr., 21, are charged with torturing an animal, a felony offense, and will be arraigned in 41B District Court in Clinton Township at a to be determined date.
Macomb County Animal Control rescued the grossly neglected Shih Tzu off the streets on Oct. 31. The Advanced Animal Emergency team in Clinton Township have been caring for the dog ever since and have named her "Elvira." The team had to shave a pound of matted hair off of Elvira just to examine her, and discovered Elvira was blind, missing a foot, covered in feces and had broken bones.
