Gearing up for weekend fun in the township means exploring local options for individuals and families. Here's a rundown of some things to do this weekend:Β
Bowling fundraiser:Β At 5:30 p.m. Friday, the public is invited to bowl at Imperial Lanes on Garfield in Clinton TownshipΒ to helpΒ raise money for the Merill familyΒ after they lost wife and motherΒ Kelly Merill, 39, to cancer.Β The cost is $20 perΒ adult and $10 perΒ child for two Games and shoe rental. The event features door prizes, 50/50 drawings and raffles.
Brides To Be Show:Β The bridal eventΒ starts at noon Sunday atΒ theΒ Italian American Society Banquet & Conference Center, 43843 Romeo Plank in Clinton Township,Β where wedding professionals will be on hand to talk to guests about their services. For ticket information,Β visit the show website.
Aquapalooza, dubbed the "largestΒ on-the-water concert event in America" is fromΒ 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday off the shores of Belle Maer Harbor in Harrison TownshipΒ on Lake St. Clair.Β
Free concert in the park:Β Cut loose with jams,Β presented byΒ Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department, at 7 p.m. Thursday inΒ Town Center Park.
New Baltimore Farmers Market, the popular market off Washington Street is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 13. The Michigan Bridge Card/SNAP/EBT isΒ accepted along with Double UP Food Bucks.
Yoga in the Park, from noon to 1 p.m. Sundays through September Santosha Yoga offers free yoga in Walter and Mary Burke Park in New Baltimore. Participants should dress comfortably, bring mats, water and non-perishable food items for the St. Mary Food Pantry. All levels and ages welcome. Β
