What You Need to Know About Voting Absentee in Clinton Township
The clerk's office will be open Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate last-minute absentee voters wishing to cast ballots in the Nov. 6 election.

If youβre not able to get to the polls Nov. 6, you still have time to vote absentee.
Clinton Township residents have until 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 to request an absentee ballot from the clerkβs office.
Completed absent voter ballots can be mailed to the township clerk or delivered personally to: George Fitzgerald, 40700 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.

The clerk's office must receive absentee ballots by mail or in-person delivery by the close of the polls Nov. 6 (8 p.m.) for these votes to be counted. A voter eligible to vote absentee may also vote in person at the township clerk's office anytime up to 4 p.m. Monday.
The Clinton Township clerk's office, located in the Civic Center Building on 40700 Romeo Plank Rd., will be open Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate last-minute absentee voters.

As a registered voter, you may obtain an absentee voter ballot if you are:
- age 60 years old or older
- unable to vote without assistance
- expecting to be out of town on election day
- in jail awaiting arraignment or trial
- unable to attend the polls because of religious beliefs
- appointed to work as an election inspector in a precinct outside of your precinct of residence.
The Clinton Township clerk's office has mailed out around 13,000 absentee ballots to date, of which more than 11,400 had been returned as of Nov. 2. This number is slightly down from the more than 15,500 Clinton Township voters who cast absentee ballots in the 2008 presidential election, according to results from the Macomb County Clerk's Office.
The polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, and close at 8 p.m. Use this chart to find your precinct location.
