Woman Steals Delivery Truck, Crashes During Police Pursuit
The 30-year-old woman was reportedly under the influence during the crash and remains in the hospital for injuries.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β A 30-year-old Mount Clemens woman is in police custody after reportedly stealing a delivery truck and crashing it during a police pursuit. The incident happened Sept. 4 around 4 p.m. when a driver at a Macomb County business said he was making a delivery and left his truck running when he saw a woman drive away in the white Ford pickup truck.
Macomb County Sheriffβs deputies searched the area and found the woman reportedly fleeing westbound on I-94. The chase ended when the woman reportedly crashed into two other vehicles at Harper Avenue and Quinn Road in Clinton Township. She was reportedly under the influence at the time of the incident.
All three drivers in the crash were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries.
The woman now faces several charges: one count of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle (a 5-year felony), one count of fleeing a police officer (5-year felony), resisting and obstructing police (a 5-year felony), and operating while intoxicated causing serious injury (a 5-year felony).

She is expected to be arraigned later this week. Police will continue to investigate the crash.
