ππ―π§πͺπ―πͺπ΅π¦ ππ’π³πͺπ¦π΅πΊ celebrates the beauty and diversity of art glass owned by the University of Michigan, Dearborn. Located an hour from where the American Studio Glass movement was born in 1962, the pieces included in this exhibition represent this movement as well as the latest works by artists, such as Kim Harty, and also reach back in time to the early 20th century. Featured pieces by international artist also cross oceans representing styles in Europe and Asia. This exhibition showcases how artists play upon and confound our expectations of glass as a medium.
This exhibition will be on display until April 26. For further information and disability accommodation, please contact Laura Cotton,Β Art Curator and Gallery Manager at lacotton@umich.edu.
