Candlelight Vigil Planned Friday for Brenna Machus

Machus' body was discovered less than 2 miles away from the Family Dollar store she worked at in Dearborn.

Family and friends of a 20-year-old woman from Romulus who was abducted from a Family Dollar store in Dearborn, will hold a candlelight vigil at Bishop Park in Wyandotte on Friday beginning at 9 p.m.

The body of Brenna Kathleen Machus was discovered by police Thursday morning in a wooded area near the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and Michigan Avenue in Dearborn.

Machus went missing from the store on the evening of July 15. Joseph Orlando, a co-worker, was found fatally shot when other employees arrived for work Tuesday morning.

Brenna's friends are asking anyone who attends the candlelight vigil to wear bright colors and bring a Chinese lantern. A moment of silence will take place around 9:30 p.m.
