Children’s Fishing Derby At Camp Dearborn Set For July 8

This annual event awards prizes to the biggest fish and most fish in five age groups.

DEARBORN, MI — The 22nd Annual Children’s Fishing Derby, sponsored by the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department and Eppinger Manufacturing Company, will be July 8 at Camp Dearborn, beginning at 8 a.m.

The event will feature competition in five age groups—3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15 and 16-18 —and prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and the most fish in each age group.

Participation in the event—which will take place on Eppinger Lake—is free with a paid gate admission to Camp Dearborn, and the first 100 kids registering on site will receive a free t-shirt.
