Dearborn Heights Man Wins $131K From Fantasy 5​ Jackpot

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI — A Dearborn Heights man said he is sending his wife on a shopping spree after winning $131,113 from the Fantasy 5 jackpot, according to Michigan Lottery officials.

Peter Kour, 81, matched the winning Fantasy 5 numbers (09-16-18-27-35) on Oct. 7 to win half of the $262,226 jackpot, according to lottery officials.

He bought his winning ticket at Belmont Services, located at 22110 Ford Road in Dearborn Heights, according to lottery officials.

"I play Fantasy 5 every day," Kour told lottery officials. "I looked up the winning numbers on the Lottery app after the drawing and said to my wife: ‘I think I may have won half of the jackpot!’ We didn’t get too excited at first because I have been one number off a few times, so we thought maybe that was the case. After looking over the winning numbers and my ticket a few more times, we knew it was real!"

With his winnings, he plans to send his wife on a shopping spree and then save the remainder, according to lottery officials.
