Last month, the Kay Beauty Supply Store on Wyoming Avenue was robbed of an unspecified amount of cash, according to Dearborn Police. Five suspects described as African-American men entered the shop at about 8:40 p.m. and demanded cash from a register and a safe, a police report stated.
Four of the men were masked and the suspects were armed with shotguns and handguns, Dearborn Police said. Several employees sustained non-life threatening injuries incident. Police said no shots were fired, however.
Police reports said the men fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Tahoe, which had been reported stolen prior to the robbery. The store sits on Wyoming just south of Tireman Avenue on Dearborn’s east side.
The third crime occurred on June 30. Dearborn officers responded to the area of Michigan Avenue near Gulley on a report of a larceny from a vehicle.
After reviewing surveillance footage, police said a suspect entered multiple unlocked commercial vans parked and stole assorted tools and a tool box. The man was observed on camera walking in multiple locations around the Michigan & Gulley area, indicating that he may be living or staying in the area.
The suspect is described as an older white male, balding with short white hair wearing glasses. Police said he was wearing a red or brown flannel shirt with graphics on the front (possibly a Native American photograph), gray shorts and white Nike shoes. It appears the suspect has tattoos on both of his arms.
