Dearborn's tips for leaf pickup

The service to pick up bagged or containerized leaves also ends on your trash day the week of Dec. 9-13.

Bagging or putting leaves in approved containers is the best method to ensure your leaves are picked up promptly. Use yard waste paper bags or 20-32 gallon containers with a City yard waste sticker on the lid and set them on your easement on your trash day by 7 a.m. Do not put any leaves out after Dec. 9-13.

Free yard waste stickers are available at the Dearborn Administrative Center, 16901 Michigan Ave., and at Esper and Bryant branch libraries (Henry Ford Centennial Library is temporarily closed for renovations.)

Leaves in plastic bags or in cardboard boxes will not be picked up.
